Compassionate, evidence-based counseling for children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
At New Creation Counseling of Acadiana, we provide compassionate, evidence-based counseling for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. We believe meaningful growth begins when people feel seen, understood, and safe enough to be honest about their experiences. From that foundation, we help clients build the insight, skills, and resilience to
navigate life's challenges, strengthen their relationships, and move toward lasting growth.

Life's experiences shape us. You may be concerned about your child, walking through a difficult season, struggling with anxiety or depression, or carrying the effects of trauma. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to navigate it alone.
At New Creation Counseling of Acadiana, we believe meaningful growth begins when people feel seen, understood, and safe enough to be honest about their experiences. Together, we'll seek to better understand your story, strengthen your relationships, build new skills, and help you move forward with greater resilience and hope.

Children don't always have the words to express what they're thinking or feeling. Through play, relationship, and developmentally appropriate interventions, counseling helps children understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, and grow in confidence.

Adolescence is a season of tremendous growth and change. As teens navigate friendships, family relationships, identity, school, anxiety, or difficult life experiences, counseling provides a place where they can feel seen, understood, and supported while developing the skills to navigate life's challenges.

Life can be both meaningful and difficult. Whether you're facing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, or a major life transition, counseling can help you better understand your experiences, strengthen your relationships, and build the capacity to move forward with greater resilience and purpose.

Healthy relationships don't happen by accident. When communication breaks down or families become stuck in patterns of conflict, hurt, or disconnection, counseling offers an opportunity to better understand one another, rebuild trust, strengthen connection, and develop healthier ways of relating together.
With more than 20 years of clinical experience, Kara works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She is known for her steady presence and her commitment to helping clients feel seen, understood, and supported as they navigate life's challenges.
After a 20-year career as a high school educator, Anne followed her calling into counseling. She is committed to creating a welcoming environment where children, adolescents, adults, and families feel respected, understood, and encouraged as they grow through life's challenges.
We believe meaningful counseling begins with understanding each person's story. Our experiences, relationships, and environments shape the way we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. That's why we take time to listen, build trust, and understand what has brought each person to counseling before deciding how to move forward together.
Our approach combines clinically excellent, evidence-based care with individualized treatment that reflects each client's age, strengths, experiences, goals, and needs. Rather than applying the same approach to everyone, we tailor counseling to the unique person sitting in front of us.
Our work is grounded in the belief that every person is created with inherent worth and dignity. Our Christian faith shapes how we understand people, relationships, suffering, and growth. When clients desire to incorporate their faith into counseling, we are honored to do so in a way that is thoughtful, respectful, and clinically appropriate. We welcome clients from all backgrounds and are committed to treating every person with dignity, compassion, and respect.
